Q. Can I return the vehicle to a depot in another city?

A.   Yes. This is known as a One-Way Rental. Most one way rentals have a minimum hire period stipulated which varies subject to destination selected and season. You can of course return the vehicle sooner but no refund will be given for an early return.

In most instances a small one way fee is also charged which goes toward recovering the cost of inter-depot vehicle transfer and re-location. The one way fee  will also vary  subject to destination and season.

Q. Can I extend the rental duration?
 A.   Yes. You may extend the rental period at time of pick-up or during the rental itself. If the latter you will need to contact us or come in person to the nearest rental location to advise. Any extensions are subject to ongoing vehicle availability and will invite pro rata additional charges in accordance with the terms of your hire agreement.

Q. Are there any restrictions on the Collection or Return of my hire vehicle?

A.   Without prior arrangemnet with our office, with the exception of Brisbane or Cairns Airport returns, a vehicle must be returned or collected within normal depot opening hours; generally falling between 8am and 5.30pm.

The times above may be variable in some instances by making prior arrangements with us at the time of making a booking. When you obtain a quotation on this site there is also a comments invitation wherein you may request validation of your out of hour's request.

If you are returning a vehicle within or outside normal operating hours, the hire vehicle will remain your responsibility until it has been checked-in and valeted by our detailing personnel.

In this regard vehicle damage cannot always be detected until the vehicle has been thoroughly cleaned and given a full and final inspection.

Q.  Are extra costs applied if I return the vehicle late?

A. Generally we allow a hour grace period after which if the vehicle is returned up to 4 hours late one quarter of the daily rate is charged for each hour overdue along with insurance and associated rental costs that make up your daily rate. If you return the vehicle after the 4 hr period stipulated above you will be charged a full day's rental plus any associated daily rental costs.
