The Whitsunday Sailing Club and the Mooloolaba Yacht Club present the annual Mooloolaba to Airlie Beach Yacht Race every year during the month of August. Tourist and locals alike flock to watch magnificent yachts and pleasure boats race up the coast of Austrailia from Mooloolaba to Airlie. The race is 510 nautical miles in length and all registered yachts must be at least 7 meters in length.
